Shinsyu Meijyo Brewery was founded in 1834 in Ueda-shi, Nagano. Using traditional production methods along with local ingredients and soft 'Kokuyo' groundwater from the nearby Yoda river, Toji Kudo Arimiti has led this small brewery to multiple awards such as Gold medal winner for new sakes in 2010,2013, 2017,2018, and 2019.
Takizawa Daiginjo is made with 100% Yamadanishiki rice polished to 39~40%. Fruit forward aromas & light with a smooth taste and clean finish, this seasonal sake is VERY easy to drink. Moreover, the newspaper packaging (without a normal label) is an interesting design that utilizes the characteristics of newspaper to block light and reduce heat. This sake is unique, delicious, and satisfying!
